2Skills (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an AI-literacy education program for students, educators, and community organizations, developed and operated by the Space Prize Foundation, a New York State-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information of everyone who uses this website or applies to our programs — including students, parents and guardians, educators, and partner organizations.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
Information you provide directly, such as your first and last name, email address, school or organization, your role (student, educator, or sponsor), and the content of any message or application you submit through our website.
Application and program information, such as grade level, program interest, and any details you or your school, library, or community partner provides when applying to or enrolling in a 2Skills class or camp.
Information collected automatically, such as browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring website, collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies via our website platform and analytics tools.
Information from partner organizations, such as a school, library, or community group that registers students on their behalf, or a parent or guardian who submits information for their child.
Real names are collected at the application stage only, from a parent, guardian, school, or community partner. During sessions students work under a pseudonym, and the work they produce is not linked to their real name.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Respond to inquiries and process applications to 2Skills classes, camps, and programs
Administer program logistics, including scheduling, mentor and teacher training, and communications with students, parents, and educators
Share updates about 2Skills and Space Prize Foundation programs, events, and opportunities
Improve our website, curriculum, and communications
Comply with legal obligations and protect the safety and integrity of our programs
We do not sell or rent personal information to any third parties, and we do not use student personal information to serve targeted advertising to students.
3. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
2Skills programs are currently open to high school students. We plan to extend to middle school in the future, which may include children under 13. Where we do, we comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) as follows:
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian, or from a school, teacher, or other educational organization acting as the child’s agent for a school-authorized educational purpose.
Where a class is delivered through a school, library, or community partner, that organization may provide consent on behalf of participating students under 13, consistent with COPPA’s school-consent provisions, and is responsible for its own consent and notice practices with families.
We collect only the information reasonably necessary for a child to participate in a class, camp, or program, and we do not condition participation on disclosing more information than necessary.
We do not knowingly use a child’s personal information for targeted or behavioral advertising.
A parent or guardian may review, correct, or request deletion of their child’s personal information, or refuse to permit further collection or use, at any time by contacting us (see Section 9).
4. Data Sharing
We may share information with:
Trusted service providers who help us operate the website and our programs, such as website hosting, email, and CRM platforms, under obligations to protect your data and use it only as instructed
Space Prize Foundation, our parent nonprofit organization, for program administration and reporting
Partner schools, libraries, and community organizations, solely as needed to coordinate a class, camp, or program you or your child is participating in
We do not sell personal information. As described in Section 5, some analytics and advertising tools we use may involve sharing limited technical data (such as IP address or device identifiers) with providers like Google for site measurement and nonprofit advertising purposes.
AI tools used in sessions: during a session students use a third-party AI tool, such as Google Gemini or ChatGPT, under their own account. That account belongs to the student and is governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy. Work created during the session stays on the student’s own device and in their own AI account; we do not collect, receive, or store it.

Our website uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to understand site performance and improve the user experience. This may include:
Standard website analytics to see how visitors use our site
Google Analytics, to help us understand traffic and engagement

You can disable cookies through your browser settings, opt out of personalized Google ads at myadcenter.google.com, and opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.adssettings.google.comGoogle Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
We do not knowingly enable interest-based or behavioral advertising directed at children under 13.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for our operations, program administration, and communications, or as needed to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations.
7. Your Rights
To access, update, or delete your (or your child’s) personal information, contact us at the email address in Section 9.
